Opus6ix artist, Pat Snyder of Coos Bay, has a work accepted into the juried 26th Annual Oregon State University's "Art About Agriculture 2008: The Nick of Time" Tour. The competition attracted 119 applications from artists living in Oregon and Washington. The jurors evaluated 411 images to create final selections consisting of approximately 12 percent of the total entries. Their general evaluations included such specific criteria as: "the alliance between art and agriculture," art that conveys "a strong evocative spirit," and "unique art of high quality."
Art About Agriculture 2008 will have its reception April 8, 2008, 6:30 p.m., at LaSells Stewart Center, Oregon State University, Corvallis. It will travel to be shown during May at the Art Adventure Gallery in Madras, Oregon. Then, in June it will be at the Crossroads Art Center in Baker City, Oregon and finishing in July at the Umpqua Valley Arts Center in Roseburg, Oregon.
