This painting has sold more paintings for me than any gallery or web site. A number of years ago I was the curator for OPUS6IX, one of the largest and most important galleries in the state.
We rotated a number of our largescale artists every year.
When the gallery closed, post-recession, I took on the task.
I was asked to Jury an exhibit at Coos Art Museum and with that honour, came a show.
I chose "Vessel" as the theme and painted 26 works, both large (mostly) and small (a few).
I became almost obsessed with shapes of jars, urns, and anything that held and transported as their function.
After the show ended the crates were loaded up and I had made plans to have them dropped at my studio the following Friday, a week later.

"Why yes, I do." I said smiling.
three minutes later I got a call from Oregon Wine LAB saying their artist had backed out and did I have any work I could hang."Yes, yes I do". (I plan on doing a story on what has transpired over the last few years showing there.)
This painting was hung above the stairwell coming up from the garage where I could be seen from all over the hotel.
I hung many more large works the, selling many.
So, I am donating this painting to Lane Community Collge for Building 19, the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management department.
