Well, We are getting ready to hang a show at Oregon Wine LAB.
This place is very special to me. Some years ago I had a three-month one-person show at the Coos Art Museum as I was the judge of the show. Anyway, I got a call from the director asking if, since they were going up to Portland to pick up the next show, they could save me $1100 in crating and shipping and just drop my paintings off somewhere.
Ten minutes later I got a call from the manager of the Hilton Hotel asking if he could change out the work for something new.
A few moments later I got a call from Oregon Wine LAB. "Our artists flaked on us, can you bring any work to hang?"
Needless to say, my work got hung. I generated more sales in the hotel and Oregon Wine LAB to pay for ten years of paint (not really but it's a nice sentiment).
I am very excited to hang a new show for my friends.
